Child Safety Policy

This Child Safety Policy explains TalesNTokens' rules for protecting children and responding to child safety risks. It should be read with the Acceptable Use Policy, Community Guidelines, User Reporting Policy, Privacy Policy, and UK GDPR Compliance Statement.
Definitions
"Child" means a person under 18.
"CSEA" means child sexual exploitation and abuse.
"CSAM" means child sexual abuse material.
"Child safety risk" means content or conduct that exploits, endangers, grooms, sexualises, harms, or targets children.
Scope
This policy applies to all accounts, rooms, uploads, marketplace listings, chat, notes, maps, tokens, character sheets, reports, support, WebSockets, bridge features, and sandbox sessions.
Age Rules
TalesNTokens is not intended for children under 13. Users under 18 may use the Platform only with parental or guardian consent and supervision. The Platform must not be used to collect, display, sell, or share children's personal data except where lawful, necessary, proportionate, and consistent with platform rules.
Strictly Prohibited Content
Users must not upload, create, request, sell, share, link to, promote, or attempt to obtain:
- CSAM or CSEA content;
- sexualised content involving minors or minor-presenting characters;
- grooming, sextortion, or sexual solicitation of minors;
- instructions for child abuse or exploitation;
- content that identifies or targets a child for abuse;
- blackmail, coercion, or trafficking content;
- harmful age-inappropriate content directed at children.
Reporting And Escalation
Users must immediately report child safety concerns to safety@talesntokens.com. If there is immediate danger, users should contact emergency services or local law enforcement.
TalesNTokens may report detected and unreported CSEA content to the relevant authority where required, including the National Crime Agency for in-scope UK Online Safety Act obligations. TalesNTokens may preserve evidence where legally required.
Privacy And Age-Appropriate Design
Before public launch, TalesNTokens should complete child-access assessments, data protection impact assessments, and age-appropriate design reviews for features likely to be accessed by children. Default settings for children should minimise data collection, profiling, public visibility, geolocation, and harmful contact risks.
User Obligations
Users must:
- avoid sharing children's personal data;
- report child safety risks immediately;
- not contact minors inappropriately;
- not evade safety controls;
- not upload fictional or real content that sexualises minors;
- cooperate with safety investigations.
Platform Obligations
TalesNTokens will:
- prohibit child sexual exploitation and abuse;
- maintain reporting routes;
- remove or restrict child safety violations;
- preserve and report evidence where legally required;
- support child privacy and safety assessments;
- apply age-appropriate design where required;
- train moderators or reviewers before public launch.
Contact Procedures
Child safety reports: safety@talesntokens.com Emergency: contact local emergency services first if a child is in immediate danger.
Reports should include URLs, room IDs, listing IDs, account names, screenshots where safe and lawful, and a description of the concern. Do not download, forward, or redistribute CSAM.
Enforcement Procedures
TalesNTokens may immediately remove content, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, preserve evidence, disable rooms, withhold payouts, notify providers, and report to authorities.
Appeals Process
Child safety enforcement may be appealed by emailing appeals@talesntokens.com, but content involving CSAM/CSEA will not be restored unless legally cleared. Appeals may be limited where disclosure would create safety, security, or legal risk.
