Account Deletion Policy

This Account Deletion Policy explains how users may request account deletion and how TalesNTokens handles associated data. It should be read with the Privacy Policy, GDPR Data Rights Policy, Data Retention Policy, and Marketplace Terms.

Definitions

"Account deletion" means closing an account and deleting or anonymising associated personal data where legally and technically possible.

"Retained data" means data kept after deletion because it is required for legal, safety, tax, accounting, payment, copyright, security, or dispute reasons.

"Orphaned content" means content that remains available without identifying the deleted user, where deletion would affect other users' lawful access or purchased licences.

Scope

This policy applies to account data, rooms, memberships, maps, tokens, character sheets, notes, uploads, marketplace records, creator listings, purchases, reports, moderation records, support records, sandbox records, and analytics identifiers.

How To Request Deletion

Users may request deletion by emailing privacy@talesntokens.com from the account email. Before public launch, TalesNTokens should also provide an in-app account deletion control.

Requests should include the account email and any specific room, listing, or content concerns.

Deletion Effects

Deletion may:

  • close the account;
  • remove or anonymise account profile data;
  • remove private rooms owned solely by the user where appropriate;
  • remove personal map packages and uploads;
  • revoke sessions;
  • unsubscribe from marketing emails;
  • remove local browser data only where the user clears their browser storage;
  • preserve transaction, tax, copyright, moderation, safety, and security records where required.

Shared Rooms And Multiplayer Content

Some User Content may be shared with other users in rooms. TalesNTokens may delete, anonymise, transfer ownership, or preserve shared content depending on user rights, other users' reliance, safety, legal obligations, and platform functionality.

Marketplace Content

Creator listings may be delisted after deletion, but buyer licence records, transaction records, refund records, and evidence needed for disputes may be retained. Purchased Assets may remain available to Buyers if lawfully purchased and not subject to takedown.

Local Browser Storage

Account deletion does not automatically clear data stored in a user's browser, such as localStorage caches, drafts, chat caches, theme preferences, Supabase auth tokens, or sessionStorage. Users should sign out and clear browser storage on shared devices.

User Obligations

Users must submit deletion requests honestly, verify identity, export needed content before deletion, and understand that deletion may be irreversible.

Platform Obligations

TalesNTokens will verify deletion requests, act within applicable legal timeframes, delete or anonymise data where required, document retained categories, and explain refusals or limitations.

Enforcement Procedures

TalesNTokens may refuse or delay deletion where necessary for legal claims, fraud prevention, chargebacks, tax records, safety investigations, copyright disputes, security incidents, or legal obligations.

Appeals Process

Users may appeal deletion refusals or limitations within 30 days by emailing appeals@talesntokens.com. Users may also complain to the ICO or their local EU supervisory authority.
